Reinstall Paths and files

Post by kpassaur » Sun Jan 28, 2007 3:33 pm

Somehow my installation got corrupted and I had to reinstall MS Pro. I store all my scripts in a sub folder of my documents.

When I install MS Pro it does not ask me for the location of my scripts as the install no longer sees it as an upgrade but a new install. I though no, issue as the scripts are still in tact.

And they are however, when I import the settings to go with the scripts it does not put them into the groups, It puts them all in General, then it copies the scripts to the Macro Scheduler folder under the Programs Folders and I don't want them there I like all my files in My Documents.

Any ideas on where and what settings need to be changed. I figured it was an ini file somewhere with a line for a path that would point to the folder, but I can't seem to find it.

I would make a nice enhancement if a user could easily select different folders that contained diferent groups and scripts. I have over 450 of them and that is why this is an issue. I don't really want to have to recreate the folder/group.

Any ideas on what to change?

Did you follow the upgrade advice and backup and select the minimum (No Samples) option when installing? If not, you have overwritten the main dat files, but your script files still exist. Paths are in groups.dat. Default location is in:

HKCU\Software\MJTNET\Msched\DataDir

If blank it is using the Macro Scheduler program folder.
