FireFox spell check

Post by JRL » Thu Oct 26, 2006 10:46 pm

I just upgraded to Firefox 2 and suddenly my forum posts are being dynamically spell checked.

In case anyone cares,
Dick

New features in Firefox 2.0 include:

"Inline spell checking: A new built-in spell checker enables users to quickly check the spelling of text entered into Web forms (like this one) without having to use a separate application."

I have not installed 2.0 yet, but suspect there is an option that can be disables, or possibly modify the userchrome.css file.

Hmm, also found this Known Issue re Spell Checking:
"When trying to print web pages with text areas, if the text area contains a misspelled word and spell checking is enabled, all the following content of the text area will not be printed. You can right-click in the text area and uncheck "Spell check this field" to turn off spell checking temporarily while you print."

More Firefox 2.0 info available at: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/2.0/releasenotes/
Hope this was helpful..................good luck,
Bob
