Re: Disable mouse and keyboard

Essentially, it's not possible to trap ctrl-alt-del: Macro Scheduler may not be able to "Trap" Ctrl + Alt + Del, but ten years later (and using Windows 10) I think I figured out how to "Detect" Ctrl + Alt + Del. Turns out that when the login or the logout screens are visible, GetPixelColor detects ...

Re: %CRLF% in Panel

Panels don't accept a multiline caption. The solution I've used is to place a label in the panel. Dialog>Dialog1 object Dialog1: TForm Left = 613 Top = 189 HelpContext = 5000 BorderIcons = [biSystemMenu] Caption = 'CustomDialog' ClientHeight = 140 ClientWidth = 228 Color = clBtnFace Font.Charset = D...

I wrote THIS a few years back. It might be useful or it might not be useful.
Hope it helps.

Re: Set color for Button

Microsoft for some unknown reason did not give buttons color flexibility. However, panels are a lot like buttons and they can change colors. Here's a way to use a panel as a button. HighLight and UnHighLight are not technically needed to be able to execute the panel like a button, but I think they a...

Optical Illusion

Saw a version of this on VOX last week. https://www.vox.com/science-and-health/20978285/optical-illusion-science-humility-reality-polarization Click on the little box to move it around. Click on the big box to get a new gradient. The color of the little box never changes as you move it. Only when yo...

Re: HTTPRequest not working in Compiled version

Hmmmm. Another thing to try. Close Macro Scheduler by going to "File" then "Exit" in the main menu. MSched.exe should not be seen running in task manager. Open the folder containing the uncompiled script using Windows File Explorer. Double click the script and see if it runs. If it fails then I stil...

How to "Wait" in Millisecond intervals

The Macro Scheduler Wait> function can be told to pause for a time interval as small as 0.001 seconds (one millisecond) However, the Wait> function can't actually pause for a time interval smaller than about 16 milliseconds. In other words you can type into your script "Wait>0.001", but the time the...

Re: Creating a "cleanup script"

Might be easier to use Killprocess> to kill all Chrome.exe and Excel.exe processes. Or, I like to use DOS taskkill. Taskkill kills all of a given process name in one swoop. Let>RP_Wait=1 Let>RP_Windowmode=0 RunProcess>cmd /c taskkill /im "excel.exe" /f RunProcess>cmd /c taskkill /im "chrome.exe" /f

Self Deleting Script

I needed an executable that would run and then remove itself. I knew I'd posted something like that before. Turns out it was 15 years ago and uses old dialogs so I rewrote an example to post and used a stock message box to present information. A couple of things. - Don't run this from the editor, th...
