Re: GetWindowHandle, nothing found doesn't set the result variable to 0

Well... apparently if no window is found the result is not set to anything. Since window handles are always a number, rather than presetting the result value to "0" I'd set it to a text value perhaps "BLANK" or even "ZERO". After the GetWindowHandle> function if the result is still set to the preset...

Re: Kill any active process

You want these three functions.
GetActiveWindow>
GetWindowProcess>
KillProcess>

Or if closing the window closes the process you could also just write a script that presses ALT + F4. Or manually press ALT + F4 rather than bothering with a script.

Press ALT
Press f4
Release ALT

Re: Best Way to Run a Macro from a Dialog?

Some will say to use the macro or the include functions or even to place the script in a subroutine within your dialog script. My choice would be to run the script using the RunProgram function. SRT>DoVPNRCx //So the script doesn't stop and wait for Login to VPN to finish. Let>RP_Wait=0 //So that yo...

Re: Something wrong with your server?

Hmmm. I noticed yesterday that the editor formatting icons were missing, just a row of rectangles. But I was using Chrome so I checked Edge and all looked correct with Edge so I assumed there was an issue with my Chrome. Today both browsers are broken and the links you are pointing to are also inacc...

Microsoft Error Codes

You don't want to see them but sometimes you do. When you do it makes life so much easier when you can look up what they mean.

Re: Edit exe Files

----------- To extract the script from the executable: 1) Run the executable from a command line using the command line parameter /extract=password (or /extract= if you intentionally left off the password at compile). Me: Run the exe file which is compiled by the app under command line /extract=pass...

Re: Edit exe Files

I don't know how to explain it better than in the original post "The app does not retrieve your script". The executable where you have lost the original script, the original script is irretrievable. Unless you find a backup copy or rewrite it from memory or have printout of it on paper it is lost fo...

Re: Edit exe Files

...can I still extract it by the app? The app does not retrieve your script. The app builds an executable that has the ability to retrieve your script. Macro Scheduler's compiler does not currently offer that ability. I received a PM earlier today that informed me the link to the app is not working...

Re: Dialog Designer - String Grid - with database

StringGrid only accepts a CSV format.

I use SQLtoCSV found HERE to query my data and save it to a CSV formatted text file. Then in the Macro you would use ReadFile> to save the file as a variable, Then use SetDialogProperties> to put the variable into the StringGrid.

Re: How to turn off autologon ...do I just turn off service?

Waited a day and no one with an answer... So I'll make another guess.

Find every script that has Autologon enabled and turn it off. Perhaps then the "Tools/Options/Enable AutoLogon..." checkbox will function to remove the service.

Re: How to turn off autologon ...do I just turn off service?

I'd check it Exit out of Macro Scheduler Restart Macro Scheduler Uncheck it Exit Restart and see if it made a difference. Its most likely a registry setting and Its possible that when you've installed updates the update process didn't look at the registry to see whether or not the box should be chec...
