Re: Memo Stops Updating

"Text" is the Dialog1 MSMemo1 property. Remove "text" from all variables. If the value of "text" becomes, for example, "1234". You have effectively changed
SetDialogProperty>Dialog1,MSMemo1,Text,variable
to
SetDialogProperty>Dialog1,MSMemo1,1234,variable

Re: HTTPRequest + HTTP_SSL=1 not working?

The following code will make the IE window show for an instance, feels a bit flaky for end users. Something like this can mask the window flicker. DeleteFile>%temp_dir%3SecondScreenMask.scp LabelToVar>TemporaryScript,vData WriteLn>%temp_dir%3SecondScreenMask.scp,wres,vData ExecuteFile>%temp_dir%3Se...

Re: Get pid of the process started using RunProgram

Here is a Macro Scheduler script subroutine that uses the GetProcessIDs> function to retrieve a list of process IDs for a specified program prior to the program being run by the script, then again immediately after the program has been run by the script. The two lists are compared and the latest pro...

Re: Out of Memory when using DBQuery

I don't have much time to explain today but it seems to me your problem is that you're creating "columns" X "rows" = "number of variables". (5 cols x 1.5 million rows is 7.5 million variables) In my view you need to be writing everything to disk. I like to use the SQLToCSV vbscript found HERE . Afte...

Re: Image Recognition: Is this a Bug or Trial Limitations?

Look HERE
Second script makes a .PNG file from your selection. The script can be altered to make a .BMP or a .JPG. The script doesn't care what direction you move to make your selection.

Re: Replacing Special Character in Excel Sheet using Macro Scheduler

You could use Macro Scheduler's DBConnect> function. If you know Structured Query Language (SQL) this is a very useful feature. It is my primary method for dealing with Excel files in Macro Scheduler. As an example. The first script below will place a small excel file on your desktop named JRL_Examp...

Re: user32.dll and ShowCursor

Try this. Usually Boolean "false" needs to be 0 and "true" needs to be 1. Or rather, "true" needs to be anything other than 0. So the word False gives a plus 1 (true) result with this particular API function. Label>HideCursor LibFunc>user32,ShowCursor,Test,0 If>{%test%>=0} Goto>HideCursor EndIf Wait...

@cvlr,
You're welcome.

@Grovkillen,
No need to be sorry. You summed up the concept succinctly and eloquently. Good job.

Re: Can you detect a double click?

There is no function to do that but here is a sample script that uses Notepad as the double click window.. After starting the script, move the message window and the Notepad window to where you can see both. Then you can watch the results of your double click on Notepad in the message window. Edit: ...

Type a TAB in a Dialog

Has anyone discovered a method to type the TAB character into a dialog object such as a memo or edit field? Pressing Tab moves to the next field as expected. Pressing ALT + 9 presents a question mark as does ALT + just about any number under 32. My only thought is to specify a special string such as...

I've never used autologon so I have no first hand experience but I do remember reading the following article and it seems pretty comprehensive.

Re: StringReplace issue

The issue for cvlr is the third (last) comma. Leave the last comma out and StringReplace> will work without the last result variable parameter. Add that last comma and the function wants you to specify the fourth (result variable) parameter. As for the nullchar issue. The problem is that the macro e...

Re: Reaching a divisor function with Macro Scheduler

Don't truly know what you're looking for but this gives the same answer as your example.

Code: Select all

Let>value=95334677

Let>kk=1

Repeat>kk
  Add>kk,1
  Let>res={%value%/%kk%}
  Separate>res,.,item
  If>item_Count<2
    Let>ans=kk
    Let>kk=done
  EndIf
Until>kk=done

Re: Left string command

Maybe I've been using it too long but I don't find MidStr> clunky at all. That said, if you want "left" and "right" functions, you can easily use them in VBScript via VBEval> Let>vStr=ManyPathsToTread VBEval>left("%vStr%",9),res MDL>res VBEval>Right("%vStr%",7),res MDL>res Midstr>vStr,1,9,res MDL>re...
