No help there, I'm sorry. It seems like the screen does not get updated when I start recording. When I press Ctrl-Shift-S to stop the macro I get the error message, and I can see the result of my keystrokes and mouse-clicks.

I've been using MS for quite some time and made several well functioning scritps - manually. Now I upgraded to the latest version (and the prof. version too). I wanted to try the record facility... :cry:

I'm not trying to create a file, I'm just trying to record some few keyboard strokes.

Maybe MS is trying to create a file, but it's installed on the local PC and there are no write restrictions on my c-drive.

Record fails

:cry: I'm trying to record a macro but the PC does not rseem to respond to keystrokes and when I stop the 'recording' it displays an error message "File not found". I have to quit MS and start it before I can try again - but with the same result.
