Perhaps if you explain what you want to achieve we may be able to provide some solutions. Thank you for answering - I may actually dare to take advantage of your kind offer, and explain to you what I am seeing, that fails my macro, and seek advice on how to fix, vs. killing processes all the time W...

Abort macro and close all windows on error

Is there any "all-encompassing" function, that would kill absolutely all open windows, and abort the running macro, until next time when it is scheduled, in case of a failure? I have been on and off with trying to develop a reliable macro for some Java apps, but the windows opening and closing seem ...

 For a moment, forget the OS, and provide some info on the browsers. There may be differences. What browser and version are you using on the NT system? What browser and version are you using on the 2K system? IE 5.xx on both  It may be necessary to put a Wait>n value after the Press ALT...

Windows NT ALT + menu letter not working (works in W2K)

This is really odd - I wonder what could cause this. As probably noticed from my other two postings, I am struggling with creating a script for Oracle/Java applications. Besides having no control over the "Java windows" (the ones created temporarily "inside" the browser), as far as focus/title goes ...

Thank you for the suggestion - actually I saw other postings of yours, which inspired me to look into this pixel earlier - the problem is that I bought the professional version, as I plan to compile this test into an executable, and deploy it on a couple of PCs, whose rezolution/screen size, colors,...

Java-based applets (Oracle related)

I have an application which is Java-based (an Oracle 11i app, for those familiar with it), used to run queries against a database. I am able to control the menu based IE windows (ALT + pull down menus), but I do not have any controls over the "internal" Java windows being opened in the process. The ...

Thank you for suggestions. I need to read more on RP_MODE, as it sounds potentially better. I figgured out the other initial issue, by playing with the programs in different "DOS" windows, and changing focus, then watching one closing, then forcing the other totake a CTRL/C. The program is pretty ne...

Nested programs, with having to CTRL/C out of one.

This may be very simple, but as a newbie (and new customer) of MJT, I have not tested all the options possible: I need to wrap a program inside another, with the "wrapper" having to be interrupted by a CTRL/C ... more specific? I need to run a trace (windump or tethereal, for those familiar with the...
