I did get the download, thanks. I thought that I made an earlier posting explaining the error of my ways, but I don't see it here. Anyway.......I just wanted to repeat a question that may have gotten lost in my previous note: :?: Along the line of editors, how about an editor choice for the log file...

Thanks for the offer Ernest. I actually started working on it myself last night, and now Marcus has provided the finished product. Wow! That was fast, thanks a lot Marcus. But when I go to the Downloads page, I only get a link to TextPad.com, and going to their addons page I only get the version fro...

I used to call batch files from Macro Scheduler but then I learned the advantage of the log files. So I have gradually changed all my batch files to macros to get the logging tools. Having a time stamp for every line in the batch file execution has been invaluable in troubleshooting. And Run Program...

The Macro Scheduler syntax file for TextPad has not been updated since 1999. So about 80% :?: of the highlighting is OK? The syntax file can be edited, but it would be nice to have an official one from mjtnet? Who/where is Chris Wilmott who claims copyright? I agree, this would be good to have on a ...

Don't forget the old standard DOS commands! FIND still works to search for a string. Remember that FIND is Case Sensitive. The switch /c gives a count of lines found with the string. This routine redirects a single line output to a text file. The result ends up on the second line of that text file. ...

:!: :!: Since it was unusual not to see a reply withn 5 days, I have resubmitted this item as a new topic under the name If File Changed error.

 (When Tech Support can provide a response, perhaps they will merge both of these topics so only one needs to be followed?)

That is useful to have included within Macro Scheduler, but the WindowsSpy utility has other features to help identify Visible from Hidden, ability to toggle visibility, sort by different columns, etc. I think that many users may still prefer to have that utility available in addition to the built i...

I also could not find it on the MJT website. My copy was in a file named windowspy.zip. It is dated 1998. I got it when I first registered my copy of Macro Scheduler. I don't recall if it was part of the registered copy of Macro Scheduler or a free add-on. I will be glad to send you a copy if it was...

 Have you tried using the WindowSpy utility from MJTNet?

Sometimes this can be very helpful in getting the correct name for a window that actually is named differently from what you may think.

Problems appear to be solved. :D  The CTRL-v problem was caused by using UpperCase vs. Lower. The CTRL-HOME problem was caused by not entering a Release Shift command earlier in the script. I later ran into the same problem with CTRL-f and it also was an UpperCase vs. Lower case issue...

Great idea. Thanks for a simple solution.

Sorry about any confusion with "c" vs. "v", but the problem definitely was because I was not using lower case. The CTRL-HOME function was not working because TextPad still had some "blocked" text highlighted, and doing CTRL-HOME was just extending the selected section vs. just going to the top. I th...
