Mostly tips, tutorials, articles and news about Macro Scheduler & Windows Automation

I’ve been thinking about creating an area of the site for people to upload tools they’ve created with Macro Scheduler Pro to. It could be free tools and utilities, or even demo versions of commercial products you’ve created. It would be a great way to demonstrate some of the things Macro Scheduler can do, as well as give developers some extra exposure. If you write tools that you give away, or sell, with Macro Scheduler Pro, please let me know what you think of this idea. If there’s enough interest I’ll get to it!

Great Idea! It might be much easier to find some useful VBScript, for example, than searching the entire forum.

I think even MacroScript veterans will be amazed at what can, and is, being developed in MacroScheduler.

Yes I Have Also Liked This Idea.

I Created A Demo Upload Tool For Counter Strike Users & Since The Creation I Have Had 3 Gaming Sites Start Using The Tool & Another 2 Interested.

Also Have A Remote Process Killer But That Was Only Just Done & That Was For 3x Common Processes That We Use At Work But Could Be Customised.

Only Issue I Could See Is If Someone Was To Write Something Bad With MS Eg Something To Delete Files & Stuff. Thats Why I Like Posting The Script So That Way Users Can See What The Script Is Going To Do.

  3. Perhaps we just need to adapt the existing Scripts & Tips forum. Make it possible for people to contribute more easily and add an option to upload the EXE. Perhaps allow people to upload either the EXE or the code, or both. Some people may want to demo the tool without revealing their code.

I think this is a good idea either as a separate forum area or as Scripts and Tips. Although, it might have more appeal as a new area. I have a script I’m currently working on that will only function as an exe.

Would these uploads be moderated or scanned for malicious code? Would there be a fee for those selling?

    I think it’s a very good idea.

  6. I’m in… I have some basic stuff that may be useful and could be improved on too.

Would be great to have some “modules” available: Like -

Module for reading files and directories.

Stuff that could be “plugged in” to other scripts.

This is how a tool works that I use to write scripts for Source Servers. under the name of Ace Rimmer. The basic tool “Event Scripts” also now comes with what we call “Corelib” Core Library addons that can be called by other scripts. We write the complex corelib addons and then supply instructions on how to use commands in your own script that make the complex stuff very simple.

    I hope that makes sense.
