Internally create PDF files

Post by Grovkillen » Mon Aug 26, 2013 1:59 pm

Wouldn't it be awesome if you could create PDF's without the need of external software?

I've used other Macro Tools (not close to as great as MS) that have basic PDF output. I'd like to see that feature included in future releases of MS.

Thank you for your suggestion. Macro Scheduler features are often conceived within the forum, so input like this is always invaluable.
Yes, we have a Custom Scripting Service. Message me or go here

I'm not entirely sure I agree that this should be a core component of an automation tool. I can however see that it could be useful. I think it would have to be an external "plugin" because it would probably add considerable bulk and would not be a core feature. Before we were to develop such a plug in we would first look to see if there aren't already third party libraries available. I wouldn't be surprised if there was already a DLL or command line tool you could use with Macro Scheduler available.

Did you know we are now offering affordable monthly subscriptions for Macro Scheduler Standard?

Thanks for the response Marcus. I haven't found a dll library to use, if some one could point me in the right direction I'd be very pleased. I would use the feature to create dynamic checklists for my clients. Today I use txt-files which are not very nice looking (even though the do the job). I have found some tools but none integrate 100% with MS = not very easy to deploy.

With PDF output I'd be able to make a more eye pleasing (easy to read, follow) check list. Even with the possibility to add pictures (.eps, .jpg etc.)...
