Subroutine Explorer

Post by JRL » Tue Nov 06, 2012 3:12 pm

Subroutine explorer in the editor similar to variable explorer under the tools menu. Provide a list of the subroutines in the script with the ability to jump to the subroutine location when the name on the list is double clicked.

Thank you for listening and for providing and maintaining an outstanding software.

Good idea. But did you know you can right click on a GoSub and click Go To Subroutine ... ?

Yes, I know that, another great feature of the Macro Scheduler editor.

I'm currently looking at a script I haven't worked on in months. Its 3063 lines and has 68 subroutines. I kind-of-sort-of know what sub I want to go to but I don't know its exact name so I can't just ctrl-f and go to it and the same thing with finding a call to the sub whether its a gosub or an event handler. Having a list to draw from would be very handy.

Thank you for considering this request.
Dick

Just discovered accidentally that kpassaur had a very similar enhancement suggestion back in 2007
