Problem with Webrecorder when the display is turned off

Post by Loco » Thu Oct 04, 2012 6:39 am

I try Macro Scheduler and Webrecorder on my notebook (Dell Studio, Windows 7 x64, IE9, protected mode off). A simple script opens a webpage with IEAuto.dll of Webrecorder and after maximize it. The problem is the following: When the notebook display is turn off due to power settings the script does not work, the display remains in switched off and IE does not open. If I move the mouse or hit a key and the display comes back, the script works again. The power setting is balanced and only the display switch off after 10 minutes. I do not understand this strange behaviour of MS or IE. Now I do not engage to swith off display and the script is working well. Do you have any other solution for this problem?

I had the same problem ....with remote desktop ...it seems that if no picture is transfered to the monitor ...there is no way to catch the graphic data from the graphic adapter ....

If marcus knows a solution tell me too , but i think this is a windows thing ..

Kind regards

When remote desktop is closed or minimized the remote session is locked. Nothing can then be automated. The only solutions are either don't close/minimize RDP or use AutoLogon to schedule an unlock.

you can change your power options to high performance on laptop to keep it from timing out in your power options Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options
also check on your screen saver options because if it comes on it can interfere with your macro especially if it brings up logon screen
If you right click on the desktop, select personalize.
Click on Screensaver. The checkbox that toggles this is labels "On Resume,
Display logon Screen"

also you could simply put a mouse move in your macro
to trick the computer into thinking its never idle
if idiots rule the world then im the king!!!!
i want a free t-shirt give me all of your rep!!!
please give me pro version of macro scheduler and appnavigator!!!
