MS Option "Backup on Save" no longer works in V11.

Post by gtdalsanto » Tue Feb 03, 2009 3:02 pm

Since loading the new MS V11.x, I have found that the option of "Backup on Save" no longer works properly.

If I do not use the Macro Schedule Console/script manager (i.e. open up the script.scp via a right-mouse click...edit, the file opens up in the macro scheduler editor like it always has in past versions (v10.x).

When I save the macro, in the past, it would create the versioning files script.001, script.002 and script.003, with the most current save going to script.scp. In the current version, none of these files get created.

Also, if I create a new group from the console, and change the default script directory for that group to be an alternate script folder, when I do a save, it saves a copy of script.scp to script.001 and script.002, with all 3 files being identical. It does not roll the chages to script.001, and then rename the previous .001 to .002 and the .002 to .003.

Is there possibly something from a previous version that is corrupting the backup on save process?

Thanks for your help.

Looks like a bug. Will investigate.
