dialog help?

Hi I wanted to know if it was possible for the dialog to stay on top when starting the script (not going down into the toolbar) how could I do this if there was a way? And how could I make a start (runs the script) and pause buttons (stops the script till user clicks start).. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
