Reading from a Google Sheet

Post by Phil Pendlebury » Fri May 20, 2022 6:46 pm

Hi all,

Is there any way to read from a Google sheet, other than manually copy pasting the data from the web URL, (which is not altogether bad for me, except users would struggle with the concept and interfere).

Ideally I would like to do this in the background silently. (Well, with a message saying updating data).

I did search but can not find anything.

Thank you. :-)

btw. I should add here that HTTP Request works on a shared public sheet but the data is impossible to parse. It is just crazily complex and not regularly formatted.

There isn't another way that I'm aware of. We always try to steer people towards Excel as of course we have those native Excel commands. But I realize this isn't much help.
Yes, we have a Custom Scripting Service. Message me or go here

Thanks Dorian, yes I found that pasting a text file to Githib and reading it RAW works really well.
