AutoLogin

This is not a new issue as my search in this area, Technical/Scripting, has yielded multiple hit. But, rather than hijack someone else's question I will rephrase the question.

Using Macro Scheduler Version 15.0 running on Windows 10. With the AutoLogin enabled as provided by Macro Scheduler and having it enabled on startup, Macro Scheduler is able to run the timed script except for the interactive parts after the computer logs itself off due to inactivity. While logged on, the script performs as expected. I am unable to "stay logged in" even though my screen is locked through the personalization settings as suggested. It would seem that the description of AutoLogin as provided by the Macro Scheduler Help document explains the situation:

"Note that due to security restraints in current versions of Windows, a service cannot run interactively. Therefore the Macro Scheduler Service can only run macros on a time based schedule. So any window event schedules, or other triggers will not fire when Windows is logged out. This is also why Macro Scheduler needs to be running on startup - the service will log into Windows and then communicate with Macro Scheduler to ask it to run the macro, rather than attempt to fire the macro itself. If the service started the macro itself, or even started Macro Scheduler itself, the macro would not be able to run interactively and would not be able to mimic a user, and respond to and interact with user interface elements etc."

So what is the solution? Create a local account? I have done that without diving totally into it as it presents issues of sharing programs I would rather not deal with if there is an easier solution I am unaware of. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I find this limitation extremely limiting and totally counter productive for 24/7 unattended operation.

AutoLogon should log Windows in, using the specified user credentials, perform the macro, then log out again. So that interactive macros will still work. It needs to be a time based schedule and AutoLogon needs to be installed. To check AutoLogon is installed correctly see:
