Silent Uninstall

Post by justinbertrand » Thu Jan 12, 2017 6:46 pm

Hello,

I'm currently building a package for silent install/uninstallation of Macro Scheduler through SCCM 2012. I'm wondering if there is a way to do a silent uninstallation. I tried all of the switches I could think of, but have not come across the correct one if it exists.

Thanks,
Justin

Hi Marcus, thanks for the reply!

I've tried the /S switch as well as its lowercase cousin to no avail. Here is the string I'm using:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Macro Scheduler 14\uninstall.exe" /S "/U:C:\Program Files (x86)\Macro Scheduler 14\Uninstall\uninstall.xml"

I've also tried putting the silent switch in different places, but alas, still no luck. Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!
Justin

My bad. It turns out we have not enabled the "Allow silent uninstall" option in our setup packager. So the /S switch will currently do nothing. I will ensure this is enabled for the next build.

Ahah! Thanks Marcus!

Do you have a timeline as to the next release?

Cheers,
