Image Recognition - best practices

Post by b0bst3r » Sun Jan 01, 2012 11:43 pm

Hi

I was just wondering what the best practices are for Image recognition.

A couple of questions that keep coming up in my head are (numbered for easy answers):

1 - Is a large or small image better to scan for?

What I think is that it could be both depending on what the area you are looking for looked like, my images are very unique so I try and pick a small an area as possible.

2 - On the WaitScreenImage command I noticed my CPU gets a bit of a battering from MS, although this is not really an issue for me as I have a quad 3.2Ghz CPU. I was wondering if the image it was waiting for made any difference if it was large or small to the amount of CPU work MS uses?
