Why

Well mainly, because I'm learning. There may not be a use. Lately, as you may have seen some of my posts, I am intrigued by LibFunc. So I am practicing what I learn. I may be fooling myself. But in my own wierd "logic" I believe checking for two properties, even further reduces the possibility of a ...

Beveled edges on Buttons

v12

I thought there was a way to modify the look of a button. i.e. Raised bevel edge, lower bevel edge. I think I can remember doing it, but now I can't figure it out.

Please help.

Thanks.

Not what I was saying

No. I wasn't asking if you could change it. I am not familiar with classes. I don't know how they are assigned, and all that techno stuff. My question was about the "system" and whether or not the system would give it another class for any reason. From your response, it seems the class is hard coded...

OK.

Ok. I'll stop. But in my case, I am not creating this to illeagally spy. It is illegal for my nephew to do what he is doing. And the adults here could be held responsible for his actions. Plus he does not need to be doing those things to start with. Taking action is part of being a responsible adult...

Blue Screen

v12 Hello, You may have seen my last post about my nephew being naughty on the internet. OK, so I am writing my own macro to record the window names. My program runs under three different names. I have made it so if two of the three identies are stopped, the third will reboot the computer. Follow me...

Window Class

v12 Windows XP sp Hello, The "class" of a dialog after it has been compiled is tCustomDialog. Excluding any outside influence, will this class change at any time? I am checking for this class in my macro. But if it would have a chance of being different, then checking for it is pointless. This topic...

Window Handles

v12. Windows XP sp3 Hello, In regards to LibFunc, if the lowest handle is 65556, what is the highest? I need to cycle through window handles, looking for a particular title. JRL helped me out with a routine that does this, but I modified it for another macro. If the windows searched for are not foun...

thanks

Thanks, adroege.

I'm aware of the gosub. I was curious if the linking capability for Library Funcs had further abilities outside of using it for LibFunc.

Sorry. I should have been more clear.

Probably not. But can't be sure, if you don't ask.

Thanks again.

Creating New Commands

MJTNET

I read the blog about making a link to LibFunc. I am curious if you can create your own commands in other ways. i.e. Create a command that combines two or more current commands. Don't focus on this pitiful example, but rather the over all thought.

Probably not. But I had to ask.

Thanks.

Why is svchost.exe named for the MS script? Will it confuse Windows' svchost.exe?
No. It has nothing to do with svchost.exe. It does not interfere with the actual program. It simply has the name. Windows doesn't care what the name is.

while on the subject

Marcus,

While on the subject. Why must the types in a complex expression be the same? It seems like this restriction really limits the usefulness of complex expressions. Could you make multiple types possible?

Thanks.

Great minds think alike. Actually years ago, my friend and I came up with a concept for an unstoppable virus called The Three Musketeers. It would place itself in three dif spots in mem and if one was wiped the other would retore it. I was working on that concept (Tom,Dick,Henry) for this, but the c...

I have a nephew who is being naughty. Need I say more. I wrote a simple macro that writes the window names to a file every so often. One day I found that someone had terminated it. I know there is software out there, but the cash isn't. :( So, does anyone know how to, if it is even possible, to hide...
