Re: Folder download chrome

I can't see why not. The "how" depends on how it's being saved. If it's right click / save as, then certainly, you can instruct Macro Scheduler to enter what ever you like. Or is it simply changing the default Chrome download location in the settings? Or a button on a website that asks for a locatio...

Re: Macro controller

Hi,

I can't see why not. It's very rare we find something we can't automate. Of course without seeing the specific tasks we can't show you exactly how to do it, but it certainly sounds possible.

Re: Clicking buttons in IE that needs scrolling down

GrovKillen is right. Experiment with the IE Element Wizard. It will click those below-the-fold buttons.

Re: Opening a URL containing a % symbol

I've put together a few examples of using ExecuteFile with URLs containing a %. Hopefully this will give you an idea of how to get around your issue. //This works executefile>https://www.bing.com/search?q=%something //This works executefile>https://www.bing.com/search?q=%hello% //This works executef...

Re: Help with coding in scheduler

I think the best way is the manual. I know this sounds like a throw-away answer, but it isn't. It's how I originally learned Macro Scheduler right from the start. The Context Sensitive help (F1 from within the editor) is a godsend. Start off in the Command Reference and familiarize yourself with the...

Re: Resize Images

To create the VBA in Excel, Record an Excel macro, and just copy and paste it into Macro Scheduler, using my sample as a template. Then run that VBA inside Macro Scheduler. Do not save your Excel file as an .xlsm. Looking at VBRunCode you'll see a usage example. You'll also see this : For XLRunCode t...

Re: Passing variable from MS to VBA in excel

The best way is to record an Excel Macro so you have the VBA code. Then edit it to use variables the same way we did in your other thread . Set picture1 = ws.Pictures.Insert("C:\Users\nodoc\Pictures\OIP.bmp") // this file name will be set by MS Taken directly from your other thread : Set picture1 = ...

Re: Resize Images

Both of these work. Just remember you'll have to assign the variables for col/row in your loop.

Code: Select all

Let>Col=A
Let>Row=2
Set targetCell = ws.Range("%Col%%Row%")

//Or
Let>ColRow=A2
Set targetCell = ws.Range("%ColRow%")

Re: Position, shouldn't it return -1 if nothing is found?

Position

Hi Grovkillen,

"Returns the starting position of a substring in a string. The search commences at the position specified in start. If found the starting position of the substring is returned in the result variable. If no match is found this value will be zero."

Re: WaitPixelColor & Screen Resolution

You're welcome. Just make sure to convert any results to an integer, otherwise things won't work as expected. I'd be interested to know how it works out, as it's not something I have tried before.

Re: WaitPixelColor & Screen Resolution

All other things being equal, my method below also might be worth trying. I just successfully experimented with it on my two laptops. Wrote it on a 3840x2160 one, successfully ran it on a 1366x768 one. I have edited it to meet your criteria. Of course things could also be being thrown off by colour ...

Resolved via support ticket.

The html/body was being stored in the script, causing errors. Solved with LabeltoVar.

Re: Can't get Image Recognition to work

Isn't finding it when it's not there different to the original question, which was not finding it when it was there? Hence Alt-8 being pressed when it shouldn't have been? Either not finding it (0), or a -1 error would cause ALT-8 to be pressed. The only way "I see markers" should appear is if NumFo...
