Re: Excel - XLBookhandle Using ExecuteFile> Command

It's certainly worth going through the command reference one section at a time. That's how I learned it all in the first place. It's grown a lot since then. Plenty of surprises in there!

Re: Excel - XLBookhandle Using ExecuteFile> Command

Use XLGet to attach to an existing running instance of Excel. This assigns it the handle you need to use the other XL commands.

Re: IEFormFill

Is it possible to see an example show the script would look like? I'm having similar issue with a site that is using Telerik controls and it has become a nightmare. Thanks in advance, DR You can see a sample of that here . To click a field, you'd to this : IETagEventByAttrib>https://www.bing.com/,I...

Re: ChromeDriver - How to maximize browser window on start

Hi Franklin,

For that you can use the WindowAction command.

Code: Select all

WindowAction>1,Chrome*

Re: No matching IE instance found

I think earlier there was one command I should have recommended, but it wasn't in the forefront of my mind. If the URL changes, you can simply use IEGetURL to get the new URL. You can then continue to use the same variable for the URL. Let>TheURL=https://www.google.co.uk/ IECreate>IE[0] IENavigate>I...

Re: No matching IE instance found

Some commands use the URL, some use the IE Reference. You can see which by watching the syntax helper at the bottom. For this script you'd just continue using IE[0] I'd be inclined to only use the full URL for the IENavigate, and https://xyz/ for everything else that just requires a partial URL, as ...

Re: No matching IE instance found

If the URL changes, the URL in the browser is not matching the URL in your script. You'd need to use the URL it changes to - or just part of it, such as the domain. Your script navigates to http://xyz/Illuminator?service=Personalization, for example, and then uses exactly the same URL for the rest o...

Why does the variable strline not need % in the ReadLn, but needs them in the Message?
This article in the KB will explain that : Using Variables and When to use Percent Symbols (%variable%)

Re: Can't open a dialog box

Show displays a dialog created with a Dialog block

What you're looking for is something like :

Code: Select all

ReadLn>C:\temp\validpings.txt,1,strLine
Message>Hi,%strLine%
or

Code: Select all

ReadLn>C:\temp\validpings.txt,1,strLine
MessageModal>Hi,%strLine%

Re: Selecting the closest image match to another image match

I'm not sure I understand what you're trying to do, but if your script is finding something it shouldn't (false positives), then maybe try increasing your tolerance from 0.7 to 0.8 or 0.9 and see if it makes a difference. In the meantime, I think you need help with your Repeat/Until loops. Yours is ...

Re: multiple images Error

My guess is you're trying to do something like this.. Note how I use "Else" differently.. //If lvl25 base is found, click on it, if not, click on purple. SetFocus>Screen One Srt>Bases FindImagePos>C:\Users\KiKAS\Desktop\pics for last shelter\Adcanced\LvL 25 base.bmp,SCREEN,0.7,1,XArr,YArr,NumFound,C...

Re: same image different locations

Let>kk=C:\Users\KiKAS\Desktop\pics for last shelter\Adcanced\Recomended Donation.bmp ...would work. Like this : Let>kk=C:\Users\KiKAS\Desktop\pics for last shelter\Adcanced\Recomended Donation.bmp FindImagePos>%kk%,WINDOW:Screen One,0.7,1,XArr,YArr,NumFound,CCOEFF If If you're simply trying to clic...

Re: same image different locations

Maybe you don't have to count at all. I notice on the 22/25 image you have a timer (00:19:54) at the bottom - does that disappear when you've completed all 25? If so, and if the ":" is always in the exact same position, can you monitor that pixel colour so the script clicks the button if the : is th...
