That is exactly what Marcus would probably say, that the readfile/base64 is a more effiecient process than the Import Binary file.

That seems to get me to the same hex format that the Import Binary File gets me from the menu item. Thanks so much for the vbscript to do that. You are correct in that it does take a bit of time for it to do the conversion, but it gets what I was looking for. Thinking about the MS command, it takes ...

I did try that. When I do a readfile, I get ÿØÿà, which I cannot send via the stored procedure. Also, when I use the drop-down menu item of "Import Binary File", it imports the file to the end of the script in the format of "FFD8FFE000104A464946000101000......" which is different from when I per...

Import Binary File to variable at runtime

Hello, I have a need to create a screen shot to a jpg file, and am trying to send it via a stored procedure to a sql server database that needs it in binary format. If I go to the toolbar, I can manually Import a file to binary, which creates a variabel at the end of the script with the Binary forma...

Libraries and Plugins - redistributable license needed?

I am trying to decide the easiest way to zip files without needing any extra licensing. I was wondering if I use one of the plugins such as the zip library, can I redistribute this dll with an exe?

Thanks.

Trying it from a dos command box was one of the things I tried first. Doesn't work. It cannot recognize it as a network drive. I have looked on the IBM forum's/knowledgebase, but cannot find anything. Possibly there is an Quickr API I can call from VBScript that would do the trick, but I cannot find...

Lotus Quickr is IBM's answer to docushare and sharepoint

IBM Lotus Quickr is team collaboration software that can help you access and interact with the people, information and project materials you need to get your work done. I believe it is IBM's answer to docushare, and Microsoft's Sharepoint. Lotus Quickr has a rich set of features, such as content lib...

Copying a file from a Quickr Place/Room

Does anyone know how to copy a file from a Quickr connector place/room folder using Macro Scheduler using the CopyFile/CopyFolder commands? Since a Quickr drive is a connector, and is not mapped to a physical drive letter, I can't figure out how to copy a file from a quickr folder to a local C: driv...

Spaces in Parameters being passed to EXE doesnt work

Is there a way to pass parameters that have spaces in it. My problem is that I am trying to pass a file spec path to an executable to set up a variable within a macro, but it only sees the value upto the space. Below is an example of what I am trying to do: c:\folder\macro.exe /PATH=c:\my documents\...

None of these options worked. So I kept trying more combinations of the .. and /'s and found that if I put //TestDir, it would take it back one level. So if your userid/login puts you on a default folder, and you have permissions to go down a level (or however many levels), putting a // before your ...

FTPPutFile setting Host Directory based from root

I am trying to put a file at the host folder based from the root directory. My problem is that when I log into the ftp site, it sets my default directory to TestDIR. When I set the host directory in the FTPPutFile command, it puts the file in a folder off of TestDIR. What I want it to do is to put t...

Load Testing 1k+ users with Macro Schedule

Just wondering if there is an easy way to simulate 1000's of users to perform a load test using Macro Scheduler for a web site. I have read the existing posts, but it seems as if it is to simulate 5-10 users using the virtual machine, etc. I was thinking that if I had multiple instances (i.e. 100's+...

I did as suggested with the UPX file, and it worked a couple of times, but then the problem appeared again. The only way I can make the problem go away is if I do a MessageModal>xxxxxxx prior to my show>dialog1, and the problem of the desktop icons don't disapear.
