Watir WebRecorder is currently unavailable until further notice. We are currently considering future plans for
WebRecorder, possibly a generic version not tied to any specific language, for identifying names and attributes of
objects actioned in order to help with manual scripting in any language. This could provide support for third party
add-ons for generating specific language code. If you have ideas or feedback, or would like to get involved in some way
please get in touch.
In the mean time, if you are looking for a recorder for Watir we
recommend Scott Hanselman's
WatirMaker.
If you are not tied to using Ruby and are looking for a way to automate and/or test Windows and/or web applications
please take a look at Macro Scheduler and/or MacroScript WebRecorder.
We also have some articles on using Macro Scheduler for automated software testing here.
If you are still using Watir WebRecorder and encounter problems, or have a generated script that throws an error or
fails to work as you expect, please do NOT post to the Watir mailing list. Watir WebRecorder is NOT supported there.
