Can't see my Macros

Post by atapper » Thu Jun 18, 2009 7:36 pm

While I was testing my latest MS script, it failed on me and when I went back to the main MS screen to reopen the editor window, the list of macros is gone! The files are still in the default directory (MyDocuments/MacroScheduler11) but try as I might, I can not get them to show on the main MS screen.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled MS(v11.1.11), tried to make a new group, tried to copy the folder to somewhere else (c:\) and changed the group properties. Nothing I do brings back the list of macros.

HELP PLEASE!

Not a very sophisticated answer, but have you tried to import them?

I didn't try that only because I didn't know much about it. When I looked, it made it sound like I was bringing a script into all my other scripts. What does it really do?

You crashed out of Macro Scheduler and your macros.dat file became empty. If you have a backup of your script directory you could recover from there but otherwise you'll be well off doing as me_again suggests. You probably did not lose any macros... it just appears that you did because they're not being displayed in the Macro Scheduler main menu.

Import allows the selected macros to be displayed on the Macro Scheduler main menu in whichever group is current during the import.

Thanks, that did the trick. I guess I didn't realize there was one more step in the process of adding groups.
