How do I send a space character?

Simple. Space is a character just like any other, so you use the Send Character/Text command (or Send for short) and enter a space :

Send>
      ^-- End the Line here

Send>This String Has Spaces In It Too!

If you have version 8.0 you can also use the built in SPACE variable:

Send>SPACE
