Sending CTRL + C to Desktop Window with Terminal Services

Post by kpassaur » Mon Oct 25, 2004 10:04 pm

I am trying to send CTRL + C and instead of copying to the clipboard it sends "C" to the application. I am using terminal services in a Window. I can go to the Window I want, highlight the text to capture and that is when it fails. To check what I was doing wrong I tried the macro recorder and it does the same thing.

I can do it with manually so I think it has to do something with setting focus but I am not sure any ideas anyone?

Thanks in advance

Have a try with CTRL+ALT+Break to switch from window mode to FullScreen (the same KeyCombo to swap back)

or use this
TSDropCopy [(click here to download) v1.02 163k

Terminal Services is one of the best features of Windows 2000, especially for managing remote servers. Unfortunately, one of the few features it lacks is the ability to easily copy files between the client and server. That is, until AnalogX TSDropCopy!

AnalogX TSDropCopy is a simple to use application that when run on both client and server allows files to be transferred between both machines quickly and easily. Simply drop the file onto the transfer window, or use the SendTo right-click menu from the explorer and let TSDropCopy do the rest. It also has the ability to map different drives paths between different servers and clients, making it simple to move files without any hassles. So if you run Terminal Services, then you NEED TSDropCopy!

Please note; TSDropCopy requires the latest version of the Terminal Services client, which is now called "Remote Desktop Connection". It can be found on the Microsoft website here.
