Macro Scheduler Forum RSS Feed Reader

Post by Rain » Mon Jul 29, 2013 5:29 pm

This script collects all posts and post info from the forums RSS feed located here and displays everything inside a dialog in memo boxes and labels. New posts are highlighted and can be loaded with the browser of your choice (Instruction are inside the LoadPost subroutine) when the topic title inside the green separator is clicked. This script started out to be a simple new post notifier and turned into a RSS Reader with some cool features IMHO.
I've added comments throughout the script.

The script is located in my google drive account. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1BF4 ... qQnag/edit
The forum is having fits when I try to to post the script.

Rain,
Absolutely magnificent!
May we request for features or coding:
How to download all forum and/or RSS posts (with timestamps) to a text file?
BTW, how could you write 1944 lines of code nearly daily?
You compose more than Maestro Mozart!
Do you find Cappuccino or Pepsi helpful in your MS coding?
Thanks a million!

Armsys,
Thanks.

Sure, you can save all RSS posts to a log file. I will upload the code to add with instructions to my Google drive... give me a few.

There are really not that many lines (Roughly 600) when you remove the dialogs and images.

I drink coffee black, no sugar.

RAIN,
You're my hero saving me hours of learning.
I'm honestly humbled by the excruciating elegance of your source code.
Especially comments are generously embedded to ensure maxium and easy understanding.
I'll enjoy my day of quietly studying your code line by line.
RAIN, I just can't thank enough.
