    Congratulations, Marcus.

    I’m curious about this:
    * Does the program require a Verisign certificate?
    * I read that the installer file must be a MSI file. Is this correct. You install package is an EXE

I think it would be very useful if you could post a little step by step guide on how to have an application certified with the work with Windows Vista logo.

Microsoft has the guide to the “works with vista” process on their website here:

Well done Marcus! I know this wasn’t easy…

  3. Hi Andrea,

Yes, a Verisign code signing certificate is required. A bit annoying since we already have a Thawte one. However, they are currently offering the Verisign code signing cert for only $99 for the first year via the Windows Vista logo program.

  4. Sorry, missed your other question. No MSI is not required. A .EXE installer is fine. The link me_again has posted outlines the steps required.
